Research and Application of Nondestructive Testing Technology of Resin Matrix Composites for Aeroengine
-
Abstract
Nondestructive testing technology is an effective means to monitor the internal quality of resin matrix composites for engines. Improving the level of nondestructive testing technology will help further promote the application of composite materials, improve engine performance and reduce engine manufacturing and maintenance costs. The main internal defects of resin matrix composite materials include delamination, debonding, inclusions, pores, porosity, fiber breakage, etc. The main applied nondestructive testing technologies include ultrasonic testing, X-ray testing, and infrared thermal imaging testing. The development direction of the nondestructive testing technology for the aero-engine resin matrix composite materials is the automation, digitization, and intelligence of the testing methods, and the in-depth applications of data analysis and evaluation methods.
