Research Status of Thermal Barrier Coatings on Nickel-based Alloy Turbine Blades
-
Abstract
Thermal barrier coating (TBC) technology is one of the key factors to improve the performance of aero-engines. With the development of aero-engine technology, higher requirements TBSs are also put forward. In order to meet the higher requirements of the TBCs of nickel-based alloy turbine blades, the ceramic surface layer of TBC has been developed to the structural coating of (YSZ+A2B2O7). The common preparation methods of the ceramic surface layer of TBCs include the plasma spraying technology and electron beam physical vapor deposition technology, and the commonly used preparation methods of the metal bonding layer include the vacuum arc plating technology and chemical vapor deposition technology. The low expansion coefficient metal bonding layer technology of TBCs, thermal barrier coating repair technology, a new generation of thermal barrier coating materials, and the establishment of a scientific thermal barrier coating performance evaluation system are the major development directions in the future.
