Aeroengine Sealing Coating Detection Based on Pulsed Infrared Thermography Technology

    • There is still no effective nondestructive testing method for the quality testing of the aeroengine sealing coating, and visual inspection and destructive methods are still used to test it now. In order to meet the requirements of nondestructive testing of the aeroengine sealing coating, the pulsed infrared thermography technology was studied. The flash excitation was used to excite the surface of the specimen, and the image data was collected by thermal imager. In order to improve the resolution of the image, the first-order derivative (1-D) was used for image processing. After the experimental detection of the sealing coating specimen with the thickness of 1 mm was completed, it was found that the method could effectively detect the two defects in the specimen and effectively extract the size information of defects, which was basically consistent with the size of practical defects and verified the effectiveness of pulsed infrared thermography technology for sealing coating.
