Effects of Different Process on Mechanical Properties of FGH95 Alloy
-
Abstract
Tensile and tension-tension fatigue tests were carried out on the small specimens from parts to investigate the effect of "hot isostatic pressing+extrusion+isothermal forging" and "hot isostatic pressing" processes on the mechanical prosperities of FGH95 alloy under service condition. The results show that the stability of tensile strength of EX specimens is higher than that of HIP specimens. The linear regression stress-life(S-N) curves indicate that under the specified cyclic loading conditions, EX specimens could bear more cycles with less dispersion before failure. The fracture characteristics show that the fracture of EX specimens is mainly plastic fracture, but the fracture of HIP specimens is mainly brittle fracture.
