Rapid Inspection Method for Epoxy by Infrared Spectroscopy
-
Abstract
A rapid inspection method for epoxy by infrared spectroscopy was investigated. Epoxy value was determined through chemical analysis, and epoxy index was analyzed by infrared spectroscopy. The relationship between epoxy index and epoxy value was given by a standard curve. The standard curve can be used to determine the epoxy value of unknown epoxy resin within limits. The results show that the relative error is lower than 2.30%, the relative deviation is lower than 1.50%, and the standard deviation is 0.58. In short, the rapid inspection method can obtain the similar accuracy and accuracy to those by chemical analysis. This method is simple, rapid and environmentally-friendly, so it is suitable to determine the epoxy value of unknown epoxy resin, and has a wild application prospect in the fields of aeronautics and astronautics.
