Effect of Temperature on Fatigue Behavior of 7N01-T4 Aluminum Alloy

    • The fatigue S-N curves of 7N01-T4 aluminum alloy were tested at room temperature, 100 ℃ and -60 ℃; the influence of the fatigue properties were investigated in different temperature environment. The test results show that -60 ℃ temperature environment is beneficial to the fatigue property of 7N01-T4 aluminum alloy, and 100 ℃ temperature environment reduces the fatigue property of 7N01-T4 aluminum alloy. The notch-sensitivity factors of room temperature, 100 ℃ and -60 ℃ are 0.62, 0.60 and 0.59, respectively. The three kinds of temperature environments don’t influence the notch-sensitivity factors. The DFR values of Kt=1 and Kt=3 specimens at 100 ℃ decrease by 24% and 16% respectively compared with room temperature, and the DFR values of Kt=1 and Kt=3 specimens at -60 ℃ increase by 42% and 14% respectively compared with room temperature.
