    Study on Property Difference of Aviation Aramid Paper Honeycomb

    • The properties of the meta-aramid paper honeycomb and para-aramid paper honeycomb were tested at room temperature and 180 ℃, including compression properties, plane shear properties and tensile properties. The properties of the two kinds of aramid paper honeycomb were compared and analyzed at the same experimental condition. The results show that the main mechanical properties of the meta-aramid paper honeycomb were substantially lower than those of the para-aramid paper honeycomb; aramid fiber molecular structures are main factors causing the performance difference. As for the performance difference of the two kinds of aramid paper honeycomb, the facture morphology by tensile testing was observed. It was found that there was obvious difference in facture morphology between the two kinds of paper honeycomb. Combined with the facture morphology, the causes for the difference were analyzed.
