    Application of Digital Image Correlation Method in Titanium Alloy Tension and Poisson’s Ratio Tests at High Temperature

    • 摘要: 航空材料的力学性能测试与表征是其工程化应用的前提,其中变形测量是力学性能测试中的重要环节。新型航空材料的应变测量面临着诸多新挑战,使用数字图像相关方法(DIC)可有效完成非接触式的材料全场光学变形测量。本研究使用DIC方法测量100~350 ℃环境中TC4钛合金的拉伸全应力−应变曲线和泊松比。结果表明:TC4钛合金的抗拉强度、条件屈服强度和弹性模量随着试验温度升高而不断降低,350 ℃时其保持率分别为82.8%、71.7%、79.5%,说明TC4钛合金具有较好的耐温性能,同时,TC4钛合金塑性随温度升高整体表现为增大趋势。此外,TC4钛合金泊松比与材料手册中数据的误差小于6%,说明DIC测量精度可满足TC4钛合金泊松比测试要求,测量数据能够很好地反映该材料的力学特性。

       

      Abstract: Testing and characterization of mechanical properties of aeronautical materials is the premise of their engineering application, and deformation measurement is an important part of mechanical properties testing of materials. The strain measurement of new aeronautical materials faces many new challenges. Non-contact full-field optical deformation measurement of materials can be achieved effectively by using digital image correlation (DIC) method. In the present work, DIC method was used to measure the tensile full stress-strain curves and Poisson’s ratios of TC4 titanium alloy at 100~350 ℃. The results show that the tensile strength, conditional yield strength and elastic modulus of TC4 titanium alloy decrease with the increase of test temperature. Their retention rates at 350 ℃ are 82.8%, 71.7% and 79.5% respectively, indicating that TC4 titanium alloy has good temperature resistance. The plasticity of TC4 titanium alloy increases with the increase of temperature. Comparing the Poisson’s ratio data of TC4 titanium alloy with the data of materials manual, all errors are less than 6%, indicating that DIC measurement accuracy can meet the Poisson’s ratio test requirements of TC4 titanium alloy, and the measurement data can well reflect the mechanical properties of the material.
