    Failure Analysis on Spring of Pneumatic Control Valve in Multiple Unit Train

    • 摘要: 动车组用气动控制阀发生数起回位弹簧异常断裂,影响列车运行安全。采用断口宏微观形貌观察、扫描电镜及能谱分析、金相显微组织分析、显微维氏硬度测试等手段对失效弹簧进行分析。结果表明:弹簧为疲劳断裂,裂纹萌生于弹簧内圈表面的横向外伤和表面凹坑处,服役过程中,裂纹从内圈表面向外部疲劳扩展,最终造成回位弹簧的早期断裂失效;弹簧内圈表面存在的横向外伤和表面凹坑产生于弹簧制造过程,后续对制造工装的追溯检定证实这个推断。建议在制造弹簧时,导料工装选取摩擦系数小、较软的材料以避免损伤簧丝,并对制造过程所用工装定期检修。

       

      Abstract: The return spring of pneumatic control valve in multiple unit train broken abnormally several times, affecting the safety of the train. In this paper, the failure of the spring was analyzed by means of macro and micro morphology observation, SEM and EDS analysis, metallographic microstructure analysis and Vickers hardness testing. The results show that the fracture of the spring is low cycle fatigue fracture, and the cracks initiated from the transverse scars or pits on the inner ring surface. During the service, the cracks propagated from the inner ring surface to the outside, finally causing the early fracture failure of the return spring. In this paper, it is considered that the transverse scars and pits on the surface of the spring inner ring were formed in the manufacturing process, and this was further confirmed by the retrospective verification of manufacturing tooling. It is suggested that the guiding fixtures should be made of softer materials with smaller friction coefficient, and the fixtures used in the manufacturing process should be regularly overhauled.
