Abstract:
The DPV-eVOLUTION thermal monitoring device was adopted to study the characteristics of WC-10Co4Cr powder particles during HVOF spraying. The influences of the spraying process parameters on temperature and speed of the particles in the flame were mainly analyzed. The results show that the particle velocity, particle temperature and particle size don’t symmetrically distribute along the center line of the flame. During spraying, the smaller diameter of the particles could obtain a higher speed. When the spraying distance was increased, the speed and temperature of the particles would present maximum. Both the particle velocity and temperature were improved with the gas flow increased.
