Abstract:
As the main component of metal thermal protection systems, the performance and the structural reliability of the metal honeycomb panels are related to the service life of the integral structures. The experimental study of honeycomb sandwich panels is significant. In this paper, digital speckle correlation technology and time sequence speckle detection technology were used to investigate the tensile properties of honeycomb sandwich panels. The experimental results are compared with the equivalent elastic modulus worked out by the equivalent stiffness method. The good consistency shows the efficiency and practicability of the digital speckle correlation technology.
